Hiatus coming to a Córdoban end…

So I’ve spent the past few days since leaving Valencia at a lovely camping ground near Alicante with my lovely family, doing not very much (good weather, good wine, good views).

Tomorrow I catch a train via Madrid to the southern Spanish city of Córdoba. It’s an ancient city mentioned by Julius Caesar’s De Bello Civili, and has a fascinating history including a very important Muslim influence which still very much shows in the architecture, I believe.

It also promises to be very hot… roughly 35 degrees forecast. Post to follow from the place itself tomorrow.
